About Brownies
Brownies are aged 7 - 10 although they can stay on until their 11th birthday. Brownies make a promise 4 - 6 weeks after they join.
Brownies work on three jouneys one at a time, which should take a year for each journey. Any time after a Brownie is 9 she can work on the Go challenge. Brownies get a badge and a certificate when they finish a journey and the Go challenge.
Brownies can also work from over 50 intrest badges that they choose to do
Brownies get a birthday badge for each year they have been a Brownie. The first badge is yellow, the second is green, and the third one is red.
Any time after a Brownie is 10 she can move to the local Guide pack. The Brownie takes a Brownie Trefoil which she can sew on her gillet or thier camp blanket to show she has been a Brownie.
Guiding UK
Rainbows are aged 5 - 7. Guides are aged 10 - 14. The Senior Section is made up of Rangers who are aged 14 - 26, Young Leaders 14 - 18, and Young Guiders 18 - 26. The Trefoil Guild is men and women who have been in the Scout and Guide movement and help at units and functions.
